ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

mICHELLE mINEUR

I’m an architectural technologist and designer, and the founder of Arcline Design Studio, a practice specialising in residential architecture with a passion for creating homes that reflect the unique personality of their owners.

I started Arcline to design spaces that make people feel genuinely good — places that inspire, comfort, and support the way they live and work. For me, great design is about balance: between beauty and function, creativity and practicality, budget and vision.

As the studio grows, Arcline Design Studio is expanding to embrace all facets of architecture, fuelled by a belief that creativity, thoughtful design, and meaningful collaboration can shape environments that truly elevate everyday life.

PODCAST

Brick & Blood: South African Town Tales is a podcast that explores how architecture, history, and true crime intertwine in South African towns, revealing how the spaces we build both shape and echo the lives within them.

BRICK AND BLOOD

Architecture is the art of turning ideas into reality — a creative discipline rooted in practicality. It’s where imagination meets technical precision, giving rise to structures that not only serve a function but also elevate the human experience. As a vital part of society, architecture shapes the physical spaces in which we live, work, and gather. It has the power to inspire through beauty and design, while also offering solutions that make daily life more efficient and intuitive. Beyond aesthetics and function, architecture influences how we interact with our environment — from the play of natural light to the quality of the air we breathe. At its best, architecture doesn’t just build structures; it builds community, comfort, and connection.

This philosophy is at the heart of Brick & Blood: South African Town Tales, a podcast that explores the intersection of architecture, history, and true crime. Through stories of small towns, forgotten buildings, and the people who lived — and sometimes died — within them, Brick & Blood reveals how the built environment both reflects and shapes the deeper currents of our lives. Because in every wall, every street, and every silence, there’s a story waiting to be told.
